Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry meets every other month for a meal and program.

Their last event was held on Saturday September 10th at 12:00pm.  They hosted lunch for over 105 Douglas County Firefighters and Law Enforcement.  They were invited to the Fellowship Hall to eat, pick up lunch or in some cases it was delivered to them.  The ladies of the church will brought desserts.

 

I HAVE CHOSEN YOU

Isaiah 41: 9-10 "You are my servant; I have chosen you and not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you: Do not be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isn't that an awesome promise? If anyone ever gets stressed when they are working in God's kingdom, it is a great comfort to know that God has chosen you and not rejected you and will strengthen and help you! I think we often think that all the responsibility is on us. We have to be prepared but then just rest in the Lord, knowing that He is able to take our gifts and bless them. It's a relief! Right?

It seems like I've been in church, like many of you, probably, all my life. Being a "PK," I got an early start singing in church, and I can look back over the years and see how the Lord has guided my path and opened some doors of ministry. Sunday is my favorite day of the week after more than half a century of being a Christian.  What a great blessing it is to serve the Lord!  I'm glad He chose me!
 
Whatever size church we serve, and whether our talent is great or small, we can be a tremendous blessing. The following scriptures mean a lot to me and I hope they encourage you.

Col. 3:2-3 Whatever you do, work at it with your whole heart, as working for the Lord and not for men.
I Thes. 5:11 Encourage one another and build each other up.
I Thes. 5: 16-18 Be joyful always! Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Eph. 3: 16-19 I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
